About Horizon Eco Builders
Horizon Eco Builders, a locally owned and operated general contractor, specializes in renovation and custom carpentry. Committed to values of good communication, quality, community, and environmental impact, our dedicated team strives to provide cost-effective yet sustainable renovation services to the Greater Vancouver area. We take pride in renovating apartments and houses, believing in preserving the embodied history within each space.
Horizon Eco Builders Inc. is a licensed, insured, and WCB-protected business.
Established in the spring of 2019, Horizon Eco Builders Inc. was founded by Simon Druart and Thomas DuBoyce. United by a shared commitment to genuine sustainability over greenwashing, a passion for preserving homes rather than demolishing them, and a desire to make a positive impact on both the planet and society, these principles have formed the core of our company.
We prioritize customer satisfaction through transparent communication, striving for win/win solutions, and maintaining exceptional quality in every detail.
Positive Stakeholder Experience
We cultivate a positive work environment where customers, employees, trades, and stakeholders feel respected and content through collaborative engagement, open communication, and realistic deadlines. Our goal is to achieve B Corp certification within the next 2 years.
Sustainable Renovation Practices
We promote sustainability in renovation through zero waste to landfill practices: thoughtful deconstruction, salvage material reuse, item donation, recycling, and responsible disposal. By reducing waste, we protect the environment and save costs for our clients. We prioritize avoiding harmful chemicals, fostering a healthier, sustainable future.
Environmental and Social Impact Growth
We envision growth as an environmental and social impact enterprise, believing that as a company, we hold the power to contribute significantly to making the world a better place. Our commitment extends beyond business, embracing the potential to positively influence communities and the environment.
